These are very low doses according to the study's title.

My brother, a doctor, the book on Prednisone, and my rheumy all have told

me any dose under 15 mg is considered low.

I think your own body produces 5 mg of " steroids " .......

What is the problem?

There are many problems associated with prednisone. The group's

website has a page

full of links of information about the side effects of long term

prednisone use:

http://arthritissupport.info/drugs.html#prednisone

Our archives are also filled with posts on prednisone information.

In cases where there is organ involvement,

some may have no choice but to take it. Osteoporosis, cataracts,

diabetes are just a few of the side effects.

When you take oral steroids, your body stops producing it's own, so

many become dependent on these

steroids for life.
