Guest guest
Hi all: My yard is wonderful, large and full of animals and creatures of nature, all lovely and I truly love it all - except for the squirrels!!! They dig holes everywhere, and then the dogs decide to dig after them and the next thing you know, I've stepped into another dang hole! Never thought I would hate those cute little furry tailed critters, but they are ticking me off! I have had extensive ACL surgery on my right knee several years back, and am glad that it was not that one, but now I've hurt my " good knee " twice in the last few months, and it's beginning to really complain! I also have OA in both knees which has been making them more stiff and painful as the months have gone by recently. More and more stuff, and more and more pain. Not nice. I went down with my left heel, into a small hole, right by the side of my barn, at night, while I was carrying hay for my horses, and then kind of jerked and stumbled back out. My little squirrel diggers at my feet, of course, which did not help matters any. I got a jolt from my left heel, to left ankle, up to my left knee, into my left hip and from there up my back. Not fun. Today, my left knee is hurting quite a bit - have been slathering on the icy hot - that stuff is good, and truly is " icy, then hot " just like they claim lol. My back is a bit sore, but luckily I don't seem to have strained that too badly. Oh, to be young and agile once again. Back when I was younger stepping in holes was just a bother, a nuisance that we rural folks have to put up with once in a while in return for the joy of having a great large property, now it's literally a pain at times. My husband said to me that I need to watch out more carefully " especially in your condition " . Makes it sound like I'm pregnant or something lol. Easy for him to say - there is no keeping up with the potholes around this place! Anyway, just wanted to vent and whine a little with people who will let me lol. My family is tired of hearing about my joints! Actually, they put up with my complaining quite well, at least I think my husband is listening .......... hmmmm. Take care - Kathe in CA Kathe " To ride a horse is to borrow freedom. " __________________________________________________
