Guest guest
Hi, everybody. Well, I went to the first rheumy appt. Tuesday. The only foul thing she did was twist me around like a pretzel. That hurt like hell. But no needles. She did not have the new blood tests back yet. The previous ones all came out negative. She said I had SYMPTOMS of RA, but no real criteria for diagnosis yet. She did have the decency to say that there IS something wrong, it isn't in my head, she just doesn't know what. She then gave me some Protonix and some prednisone, and told me she'd call if she got the new results back or needed more tests, but to come back in April.I don't know where this is all going to lead. If not RA, what else could it be, with no positive ANA? This makes absolutely no sense. I feel like Im being given the run-around, just because they can. All I want is to know what it is, so I can learn to handle it. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any info would be very helpful. Also, I have an eye disease called Pars Planitis. I've done enough research to know what I need, but the Drs won't give me anything but drops, because they refuse to hear that there is another treatment option for it, and the Pred drops are NEVER going to get the inflammation out and save my vision. If anyone knows exactly how to get legally evil enough with these freaks to help me out, PLEASE give me a clue. Thank You, Jane
Guest guest
Hi Jane; I gather you are not too happy about your Dr's visit. That's tough when you don't really trust you physician. I was diagnosed one year ago and so far all the tests have been negative. Some people always have negative test results, I suppose we are these " some people. " The prednisone will give you immediate relief. Take it and start smiling again. I don't know anything about your eye problem. Maybe someone else can help you here. Take care. mtbargeman30 <mtbargeman30@...> wrote: Hi, everybody. Well, I went to the first rheumy appt. Tuesday. The only foul thing she did was twist me around like a pretzel. That hurt like hell. Guest guest
Jane, Autoimmune diseases are difficult to diagnose; I know it's frustrating to not have the answers you want, but please try to be patient with your doctors. They are people, too! Sierra --- In , " mtbargeman30 " <mtbargeman30@...> wrote: > > Hi, everybody. Well, I went to the first rheumy appt. Tuesday. Guest guest
Don't hold your breath. I had a pretty bad experience at " The best teaching hospital in the country " according to their publicities. The one thing these places have better than anyone elses is the PR department. susan smith <bizzare48@...> wrote: Did live close enough to a large city to be able to visit a teaching hospital?
