Hello all...

Couple of good things... first of all.. after a year and change of paperwork,

phone calls, advocates and even a lawyer.. we got Gabby's wheelchair.. we were

so happy we even name it " lilipad " .. dont even know how we got to the name since

it's a cute purple one but there. we got it.. I feel like I need to have a chair

party!!

Second good news.. Gabby MA got denied last week for not sending the paperwork

on time.. WRONG>> it was send the same week as I recived since two years ago we

had the same situation and I wasnt thinking on having those issues again.. well

same deal bunch of calls.. ( my cell will be sooooo over the minutes!!!) and

finally our case manager says her supervisor " had it the whole time " and had the

courage to tell me.. " word of advice.. file it on time next time " (SERIOUSLY???

on time???? when is on time if it's done the same week????)

anyways.. question for the group... Gabby cant fit on her booster chair.. (very

snug already) she is a 6 and half year old pretty tall.. (regular 7 year old

size on the " normal girls chart " ) and weights 97 lbs.... (OMG).... So she now

goes with just the sit belt in the back of my car... But smart enough she

wiggles her way out of it and doesnt need to unbucle, (doesnt have the strong

fingers to do it) so she gets out and wonders around the back seat... side to

side.. tries to open the door ( have child locks on) and also tries to open

windows.. (also locked)

have anyone used something else to keep them buckle? is there such thing? I know

there is a thingy for the buckle part but she doesnt need that.. just to stay

put.... I try books and dvs to keep her busy... and she gets bored and out she

goes...

so whenever I'm with my husband I started going in the back seat with her ...

but when it's just us chicas... oh oh... she gets out!!

any ideas?

Alina

Oh yes - harness time!!  there are people on this list who know shich company is now the best.  We used the same harness the school bus company had when ELie was in the escape stage!  .-- Sara- different pathways lead to Nirvana.
