Trouble Getting Daughter to Eat - Previcid, Seroquel, Teeth???

I'm looking for ideas/feedback/experiences on challenges with eating.

My daughter Milly is 24 years old, and we're having major issues with getting

her to eat enough, for the past 2-3 months. Also issue on and off with eating

solid food, so maybe dental or even sensory???

the only medication change I can think of is the intro of Previcid/Lansoprazole

for possible GERD. She's been taking Seroquel for 3 years; we took her off

Risperidone because of excessive weight gain (boy, that's not an issue now :-)

there's a possible dental issue - she has unerupted wisdom teeth, which we've

been keeping an eye on - I have a dental appt for her in a week.

Seeing our Gastroenterologist on Thursday, so I'll check in with him on that

issue. Talking to the pharmacist about Previcid didn't bring up any

interractions between any drugs she's taking, but when I " googled " Previcid and

loss of appetite, there was something posted by a parent about their child and

appetite suppression on this drug.

Any info you can offer would be appreciated! My girl is an eternal mystery.

Hi Sue

Not that this helps much, but I have hear of " loss of appetite " type thing when

starting acid reducers. If a person was eating to ease the pain of the acid

reflux and then that pain goes away you will see a drop off in food intake. My

sisters daughter did this when she was very little. Sorry I can't be more help.
