Guest guest
Hi all, I'm new to the group. My son, Tristan is almost 4 years old and has Down syndrome...and we suspect ASD as well. He stims non-stop, is echolalic, has sensory issues. One question I have is do you think it is helpful to see a neurologist and get an official diagnosis? Would this help him to get more services? Currently, he qualifies for (but will start after surgery) 2 hours OT, 2 hours PT, 2 hours ST, 10 hours ABA. Additionally, he already attends an SDC preschool class 11 hours/week. Second question is he is supposed to have T & A surgery this coming Tuesday. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions as I'm extremely nervous about this surgery. Did anyone see regression after a surgery? Any thoughts are appreciated!Blessings, Dawn
