Guest guest
Natural Health - Body Fatigue at WorkIf you get the mid-afternoon blahs at work, several things could be affecting you. A high-carb lunch can give you the afternoon sleepies, as well as not getting enough rest at night. Simple boredom with your routine can also be a factor. Changing your lunch habits can help. If you are a vegetarian, eat plenty of veggies for lunch rather than that pasta dish. If you are not a vegetarian, go ahead and get that meat you want for lunch and save the big salad for supper. Start the day with a whole-grain cereal for breakfast, allowing you to go lighter on lunch without getting too hungry.Try to get at least seven hours of sleep each night. And if boredom is the problem, change your routine somehow. Switch the order in which you do your work. Other things that can help those afternoon blues are quick walks, or a glass of herbal tea with a dose of honey in it. Don't rely on coffee to keep you awake - one or two cups a day is ! all you should have. Finally, try keeping some sunflower seeds on hand (not the highly salted kind) for your afternoon snack, because they have an energy-producing protein in them.- Carla Joy
