Connecticut: Anyone Else Here?

I asked recently on our state's Down Syndrome Congress list if anyone else had a

child with autism. I received only two responses, one child with and another

being evaluated. Plus I've met two young people with Ds and autism personally

through Special Olympics. And I can think of at least one on the CTFEAT (autism)

list with Ds. But I'm thinking there must be more of us whose child has autism.

I did a quick search for the word " Connecticut " on this list and found some

discussion of New Haven and a lot of other emails showed up that I didn't go

through.

Anyway, I would love to know who else is around here. I was motivated to write

because I received an email today from someone asking how many responses I got

to my question on the CDSC list because she was thinking of planning a talk.

I'll have to write and tell her that no one contacted me off the list, just the

two she probably already saw and that I know of just a handful more. I'd like to

be able to tell her that there are others, as I'm sure there are.

Feel free to contact me personally or on this list. I've been on " no email " on

this list for a few years, and I've been out of the loop, but I'm turning emails

back on, so responding either way will work.
