Hi, Everyone.....CM....I'm not sure what information you're looking for? My son, Gareth, had hip surgery 8 yrs ago because he had eroded away the hip socket of his right hip due to dysplasia and flipping his socket in and out for years. He had the Ganz procedure done at Hershey Medical Center, was sent home with no cast, but did have a large hip brace he had to wear for months. They had him up and walking the next day. He still has the 5 pins in his hip to hold it together. At the time, they did offer a hip replacement, but at his age (15) they said it wouldn't last his lifetime and, at that time, you only had the option of one hip replacement/hip per lifetime.

Take care, Everyone.
