My daughter has a leg discrepancy of 11mm but has been getting around fine until

now. She hasn't walked since last Friday night. We took her to Ortho and they

did x-rays and it shows that everything is fine. She's still very playful and

no fevers, and never seems to show that she is in pain. We just can't figure

out what it could be. She has been crawling or scooting to get where she wants

to go. Does anybody have any idea what is wrong with her?

I would ask her pediatrician to do a CBC. If her blood counts are off it can cause some bone pain. I don't want to scare you a bit, but my son had leukemia and stopped walking in treatment (not at diagnosis, though), and those of us who have kids with DS always need to be aware of their increased risk without panicking. I almost didn't post this because I don't want to scare you, but I also don't want you to miss something important. Since your daughter isn't sick or feverish it probably isn't this at all; I just thought maybe you'd want to check.
