Guest guest
Aden is supper sensitive to smells too. We use only non fragranced lotion. Your post totally made me realize something though. Aden has had a huge problem with getting on the bus ever since we got a new bus driver. He keeps telling me the bus is gross. The driver is a heavy smoker (as in he smells like a burning pig barn). I never put the two together until this morning. Today was our first day back at school after a monthlong track break. I said school and Aden got all excited, but when I said bus he started saying "gross gross" I ended up driving him to school. Duh, the bus is gross because the driver stinks. Seriously it's been like six months. How slow am I?So now all I have to do is figure out how to get a bus where the driver isn't "gross". Any ideas :)HugsSent from my iPod <<Oh and he absolutely loves having the lotion rubbed into his hands and feet>> Hi, Everyone........had to laugh at this one. Gareth is the complete opposite!!! Any sort of lotion or smell sends him into a gagging/throw-up fit!!! If I walk into the room with wet hair, he will gag. If he sees a lady with moussed hair, he gags. A smelly, perfumed lady in church will get him gagging. If he sees me put on hand lotion, like after washing dishes, he will start gagging. Heaven forbid, if I get anywhere near him with a lotion bottle.....the shear fear in his eyes!!! I won't have shampoo put on his hands....we have to wash his hair. All my cleaners have to be *No Perfume.* It's amazing the amount of *smells* in our homes that are obnoxious to him!!! Go figure?!?!? Take care, Everyone. Guest guest
I don't have any ideas but I will tell you that Nicky, who is non-verbal, will start crying if somebody who smokes gets close to him. He's been that way since an infant and still that way -- gets visibly agitated. Interesting to have you mention it -- Bethany DiLullo <<Oh and he absolutely loves having the lotion rubbed into his hands and feet>> Hi, Everyone........had to laugh at this one.
