Guest guest
This is strange as Dr Goyal mentioned in my last consultation about the clinics in London but said it will be more reasonable charges than Breakspear. It could be partially because of the revenue sharing model between Biolab and Dr Goyal, but £125 for 30 min follow-up visit is quite high.VarunTo: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: Mum231ASD@...Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 05:24:57 -0400Subject: Re: Re: Fwd: IMPORTANT announcement regarding Brea... £290 for 1st visit 'up to 60 mins' and £125 for 'up to' 30 min follow up Mx Do you know how much he will be charging for 45 minutes consultation?Jabi>> > > I emailed them last night and asked about it. Guest guest
Hi It actually £290 for first consult then £125 after that for 30 mins! I have spoken to Bates at Caudwell just now and she says in principal but not guarenteed that currently they cant see a problem they are in talks with Goyal and will advise in due course, this is all the information you will get now if you ring them. I will chase them up in a weeks time and see if there is anymore news. x To: autism-biomedical-europe From: varun.das@...Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 09:55:50 +0000Subject: RE: Re: Fwd: IMPORTANT announcement regarding Brea... Guest guest
I meant the consultation charges for Dr Goyal at Breakspear. He could have kept the same structure with little increases every year rather than a huge increase for follow-up consulations.VarunTo: autism-biomedical-europe From: michelle0471@...Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 10:04:08 +0000Subject: RE: Re: Fwd: IMPORTANT announcement regarding Brea... Guest guest
He has to SUPPLY the meds to get Caudwell to pay it (putting it on his invoice), he is giving private Rx's which will not be covered otherwise he has to set himself up as a dispensing pharmacy in 3 places which is not going to happen Has that been confirmed Mandi, i spoke to Bates at Caudwell this morning and she didnt say anything about them not paying for the meds, although i didnt ask her that question directly, i just asked if we could use our Caudwell funding at Dr G new clinic. x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: Mum231ASD@...Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 07:51:02 -0400Subject: Re: Re: Fwd: IMPORTANT announcement regarding Brea... Guest guest
Breakspear charges for a 10 pack of Valtrex 500mg £39.53 whereas you can get the same for £25 (approx) in Tesco/ASDA pharmacy. Even if you add a prescription fee (£9 in Breakspear), it still is economic. LDN is £30 at Dickson's Pharmacy whereas £48 in Breakspear. Imunovir 500mg (100 tabs) is £75.84 in Breakspear but £42.66 outside. However this all works if you are paying for the medicines yourself so in the new setup if it is not funded by Caudwell it might be worth trying out.To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: Mum231ASD@...Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 07:51:02 -0400Subject: Re: Re: Fwd: IMPORTANT announcement regarding Brea... So can we get baseline ANS test at Dr.G new practice, i would like to retest in a few months to see if Harry's oxygen levels have risen from 4%-7% and also see where we are with the cytokine activity? x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: biomed@...Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 12:27:55 +0000Subject: Re: Fwd: IMPORTANT announcement regarding Brea... Guest guest
So remind me : the all reason to do this (3 clinics) was to make treatment more convenient to parents so I am failing to see the benefits......less treatments available, any Rx not covered by Caudwell, more expensive consultations .... Guest guest
Mandi, You can buy Naltrexone here: http://goldpharma.com/search/ a few people on Polish group similar to this one used it and it was quick and easy. As for the prescription you can ask to speak to the pharmacy doctor and tell him what you need it for for additional £6 (you need to tell them that it's for you as this medicine is not licensed for children). I don't know if they speak English well though. I am going to buy Naltrexone for myself next week and will ask. Guest guest
LDN, Artesunate, Nitaoxanide are the only prescription items which Tesco/ASDA could not provide as these are not licensed for dispensing and has to procurred on a named patient basis only where Breakspear was the only source. It could be possible that Breakspear gets LDN from Dickson's pharmacy (the only chemist to dispense LDN in UK) as Dickson's has links to Breakspear on their site. To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: biomed@...Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 12:10:08 +0000Subject: Re: Fwd: IMPORTANT announcement regarding Brea... Guest guest
Would it be worth someone drafting a collective letter to Breakspear/ Dr G which we could all - concerned clients of Breakspear - put our name to ? Maybe he is doing this to protect Breakspear liability in some way ? - in the past they have had to fight off (successfully) a case brought against them re Lyme. Anyone seen the new consultant doc at Breakspear - any good ?

Guest guest
Just seen him. He is in talks with Caudwell and told me to tell people not to worry. The cost will be better as testing costs will be cheaper.
