Guest guest
UPDATE: We received a response from Washington, D.C. just a few moments ago!!!! The legislative aide to our local Representative is scheduling time to talk to him about our bill. I am so excited!!!!! This will mean more accurate diagnosis, better clarification of what type of Down syndrome your child has, better support services, more accurate research geared towards specific types of Down Syndrome, and fewer terminations due to not mistakenly diagnosing Down Syndrome or other chromosomal abnormality when there actually is none present. Â Seems minor - but now with better diagnostic genetic testing, we will be better able to get the appropriate treatment for our children while they are young enugh to get maximum benefit.
