Please please no Joan!  I beg you.  You are the reasont his group started, you are what holds us together when things like this come up, and I am sorry if this offends some, but you have more experience than many of us in dealing with soooo many issues.  I for one dont want you to leave your position.  I like Joans Living Room and I want to stay there.

I believe it is time for someone else to take ownership of this group.  I have felt this way a long time. Those who would like to be owner of the lust please drop me an email. After 14 years it us time for me to move on.

The list cannot operate without an owner. The owner is who is held responsible  by yahoo if there are complaints about breaking g the terms of service or legal action and is the email address people will write to when the need help joining or whatever.

Though today's issues did not plant the seed, they did spur me to action.

Drop me an email if interested.

I have very mu h enjoyed watching this group grow and evolve into o.e of the most constructive and accepting online resources available to families of kids with more than Down syndrome. The restrictions we as a group have put on membership and requests for acceptance of all unharmful ways of living life have contributed to that reputation.

It is always important to know when it is time to move on. Now is the time for this project. I plan to remain a member. I'd lime to experience Ghats without the concern for the bigger picture.

Look forward to hearing from whomever is interested.
