Welcome and thank you for joining us.

Below is an excellent book. It has helped me and my family greatly and many many other people.

You will find we have an open discussion format for group to help us share our experiences - cope - vent - support - inform and form a very close online family of friends that does understand all we and our family's experience with us having Hep C. It does take others with Hep C to appreciate and truly understand know all it entails for us and our loved ones.

A diagnosis of Hep C is very traumatic and all that goes along with it. It is a very complex disease diagnosis but in time we have managed to network keep up-to-date with all the latest research medical discoveries educate and helped each other to understand and most importantly accept our diagnosis - all stages - treatments - to transplant and beyond.

I'm 54 now with 2 children as young adults when I was 1st diagnosed and with 2 very young grandchildren at that time.

I have lived a very happy and content life 32 years now with my Chronic Hep C. I had to be pulled twice of treatment for severe medical complications once prior and once after my transplant and can not do tx again unless a new form hits the market in time for me. This March I will be 8 years from my transplant. Yes with Chronic Hep C again immediately after my transplant and in progressive stages.

After recovering over the shock of my diagnosis of Hep C in late stages I fully accepted it and all it entailed for me for my future and for my family. I did all I could medically for me working with my excellent Hep Dr and Transplant Team till today. I had no regrets or left any regrets for my family and than put it all in the hands of God and my Dr's.

Whatever will be will be out of my control and we were than able to handle it all the best we could and will continue to do so. I was than able to let go offer up all the overwhelming concerns - fears - frustrations - anxiety ......... actually felt lighter like a heavy burden was lifted off my shoulders.

Me and my family have an even closer very happy content loving lives relationships and futures without dwelling on all the negatives of my Hep C. We don't let or allow it to control our lives or happiness and can even joke laugh about it and how Mom is so tough stronger than it. My children separately have told me they have learned so many positive life lessons and are much stronger adults and feel they to can handle whatever life throws at them too from our experiences and how well me and them have handled it all and for our futures.

My full acceptance no denial my family's full acceptance me keeping them fully informed a team effort our honesty full communications about it all discussing it all made us even more of a close loving family and to this day.

Since my transplant I was extremely lucky a medical Miracle to be given a 2nd chance at life. I was there to see my son married and now with 3 grandchildren. My son had his 1st child a son now 1 year old.

I am not a HCV victim or consider myself one. I am a HCV Survivor even though me and my family went through all the stages a transplant and now again with chronic HCV because I am in control of my life and happiness not my HCV no matter what it and life throws at me and us.

My family and I have also received many positives with me having HCV.

I know and understand it is not that easy for many people and family's.

I hope and wish all others could fully accept their HCV lives be able to see and them and their family's receive many positives and become even closer too.

We all have 2 choices be happy and content no matter what or not.

Yes medically it is a hard challenge with having HCV many physical and emotional complications we have with Chronic HCV but if needed Rx's and counseling can relieve and make us more happy and content accepting living our HCV lives to the best of each of our own abilities.

I hope me sharing my HCV life and experiences and how we all share many related HCV physical and emotional conditions symptoms and challenges has helped you and better understand it and us.

All The Best To You and Yours and Happy Holiday's.

>  Thank you. I admire that you can be so positive especially with

all you've already gone thru. I suffer from depression and anziety

and that was well before I even knew of Hep C so I'm not a positive

person to begin with but I do have many days where I just take it as

it comes and try to allow myself to not feel GUILTY for having so

stupidly done this to myself even though I was 21 at the time. I wish

you well and appreciate the help here...Thanks, Debbie
