Good afternoon all

I have just discovered smoothies! Yes, I know I am SLOW. Here I am banded

nearly 2 years, but had my first one when I was in hospital a few weeks ago.

They are great. I am putting Optifast, yoghurt and fruit with water into

the blender and yum.

Okay, that is my version of what a smoothie is, but what are they really?

Does anyone else have them and what do you put into them? What I make does

not taste like what is in the hospital one, ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can make them with yogurt and fruit, ice cream and fruit, milk and

fruit just as long as you have a blender you can make them any way you

would like. I like them with a little yogurt and skim milk. Also to

make them a little thicker you can experiment with the skim milk powder.

I like the ones I have at 's they have ice, frozen yogurt and fruit.

Thanks Mazz, I knew someone would know. I will get some skim milk powder.

I love the idea of ice! They are such a great way to get real fruit into

your diet. I don't know why I never thought of them earlier.

This is a

great recipe with any fish or even chicken:

Baked Salmon

Prep Time: approx. 15 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 45

Minutes. Ready in: approx. 2 Hours. Makes 2 servings.

2 cloves garlic, minced 6

tablespoons light olive oil

1 teaspoon dried basil 1

teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1

tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped 2 (6 ounce)

filets salmon

Directions: In a medium glass bowl, prepare marinade by

mixing garlic, light olive oil, basil, salt, pepper, lemon

juice and parsley. Place salmon fillets in a medium glass

baking dish, and cover with the marinade. Marinate in the

refrigerator about 1 hour, turning occasionally.2 Preheat

oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).3 Place fillets in aluminum foil, cover

with marinade, and seal. Place sealed salmon in the glass dish, and

bake 35 to 45 minutes, until easily flaked with a fork.

Hi everyone.. Ok so I need to

get a juicer. But what I really need is how to make smoothies and recipes or

websites with healthy smoothies (also for veggies too) I have slowly been

trying to stop eating red meat. I have been raised on it and my family too.

But I know for a fact that when I eat red meat of any kind, the next is a fog

day. So PLEASE recipes, ideas anything. Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
