Hi,

Your journey with your son seems to be quite similar to ours. We did

oat test as well as live blood sample, and our practitioner (dr. Culp)

told us to be on SCD due to yeast and gut dysbiosis. he too said that,

gut problem has to be dealt first before chelation. We did Scd for a

year but no wow improvement. Money is tight so can't afford any

practitioner now. I met Cutler last year, talked to him and decided to

start his chelation protocol. Seeing many fantastic WOW improvements.

We are on round 5. Long way to go still.

I feel that gut problem is due to his metal toxic body. We spent lots

of money, time, effort to heal his gut with SCD but felt that we are

going in circle. Now we are back to gf/cf/sf/sugar free diet.

Just sharing our experience.

love and smiles,

Ez

IME, if your child needs chelation, you really shouldn't postpone. Getting

the gut somewhat managed is a good idea, but I wouldn't spend more than a couple

months on that. Treating your child means doing a lot of things at the same

time. That is, you'll start a diet appropriate for your child, and continue it

while you're chelating, etc. You almost never finish one thing and then

start another.

In regard to enzymes and probiotics. I give them away from each other, as there

is no consensus on that. So, to be sure, I keep them separate. Also, IMO,

most practitioners don't recommend high enough doses of probiotics in order to

make an impact. My son was on a trillion CFUs for a long stretch in order to

make an impact. And this was a kid who didn't have any antibiotic exposure

until 18 months. If your child had antibiotic exposure early on, or if your

bacterial profile is not good, it makes sense that the child would need even

more. Cultured foods help too. I think human strain probiotics work best.

If you are chelating AC protocol, which I wuold highly recommend (not sure that

Gannage does that--I am in Canada and know people who have used him) then give

probiotics at night. I used to give my son an extra 9 or 10 capsules during

his night time doses. Or, sometimes I would give antifungals or antibacterials

at night, and then dose probiotics heavily in his early morning dose.

SCD didn't work for us either - who knows why. It makes perfect sense but it

just didn't help. Things like kombucha put the roses back into Tom's cheeks

much quicker than probiotics ever did too. Frustrating, I know.

Thanks so much Ez, Anita, Sandy and . That's brilliant stuff. Can you

buy good enough cultured foods somewhere? It's because wife really has to do

this (I am away from home a lot) and our attempt at sauerkraut was so smelly and

no-one would eat it anyway. She's never doing it again!
