Guest guest
Help, need a little guidance. This is going to sound a bit ditzy but not sure what's still what. We've been doing biomed since 2005. We're seeing a new doc this week and I'm taking Tom's test results with me but not sure which are just obsolete. I mean there are two huge files of them. Assuming TH tests are still valid. Three different thyroid tests over 3 years. IgE always show high but variable within a higher than average reference range. He almost always had high ammonia but is that relevant in a test over 3 years old? Metals - goes without saying. Presume all sorts of parasite, gut flora anything gut is obsolete after more than a couple of months. Genomic testing true for ever. Strep, DNase - interesting but changes constantly so needs retesting? ONE test - a snapshot of that moment so irrelevant after a few months? Urinary porphirins - have summarised over the 3 years we ran them. Presume obsolete but interesting history/context? Ammonia - always high, varies between 20 and over 40. not tested for years but apart from one test always elevated so presume that must be of interest. I'm marking up all the tests with my sticky notes but really he could spend a morning just reading the file and not looking at us at all. I'm deliberately not adding up the value of the tests! A small flat somewhere not too scabby is the probably value! many thanks in advance Steph Mum of Tom 13, enigma, wrapped in a mystery.
