Thank you for your responses - very helpful., would you mind sharing how much of each is in the combined capsule - I spoke to Breakspear pharmacy yesterday but they never mentioned the combined one - also how much is it (only roughly).

I will also look into the biocare one - we use a lot of their products.Alison R

I give a combined CoQ10/L-carnitine by Pure Encapsulations which is high quality but expensive, I get it from Breakspear. Also use Nature's Answer liquid L-carnitine, I get that from Auravita.com but you can probably buy elsewhere.

I've just checked the nutri centre website and they stock the patrick holford one so this would be very reasonable with the discount.  Have you opened the capsules at all - just wondered what it tastes like.   will swallow capsules now (hoooooraaay)!!! but Charlie is only 4 and won't have anything remotely horrible tasting!

Alison R

hi Mandi and Alison we use patrick holfords biocare range coq10 and lcarnitine its a capsule not a liquid but i open it up can be found at

www.buy-biocare.co.uk also sold in revital health stores

believe its only magnesium in it no soya...

Hi Zara  What does of carnitine did Dr G put your daughter onAlison R

Hi there,

I've been buying CoQ10 from Higher Nature (after checking whether MM stocked it first, of course :)). I've had a look at the the website you recommended Isobel and it looks a lot more reasonable than Higher Nature. I've been using 30mg  but Dr Goyal has recommended that I double it.

He also put my daughter on L Carnitine (capsules) which I got from the Breakspear.

Hey Alison,The dose is 1 cap twice daily. On the label it says that 1 cap contains 340 mg ofL-cartinine. Strangely enough, Dr G didn't mention the combined one.I haven't started Noor on it yet as I was advised to start 3 weeks into the antibiotic azithromycin which is out of stock at the manufacturer's end.. Now having to get a private prescription and get it that way as my local pharmacy has it.ZahraSent from my iPhone

Hello everyone,I was just wondering if someone could give us a contact number for Dr Goyal, please. Thank y very much.Sent from my iPad

dear alison

I open the capsule of the patrick holford one think its a yellow colour, my son takes it in a drink ie pineapple juice so cant say if it tastes horrible but he takes it successfully, when I mentioned it to dr Goyal he thought it was a good brand of supplement... Isobel

Not at all Alison. I will post in detail later, but basically Noor's glands were up,she had a sore throat and was feeling 'hot'. In fact she's been complaining of this for 3 weeks now and her body and forehead feel really warm. She has low grade fever.I've started her on the antibiotic today. Will keep you posted.ZahraSent from my iPhone
