Guest guest
I agree. I see so many more teenagers (especially boys) with adhd (which I believe is included in the spectrum). Perhaps there isn't the above horrific increase in kids at this severe end of the spectrum ?... just frightened that in creating autism awareness kids/young adults at this end of the spectrum are getting forgotten.>> > > > > Estimated rates of autism among U.S. children in 2012:7 year olds – 1 in 486 year olds – 1 in 425 year olds – 1 in 374 year olds – 1 in 333 year olds – 1 in 29http://vaxtruth.org/2012/04/when-1-in-88-is-really-1-in-29/ x>
Guest guest
Makes my blood boil thinking about it From: Autism-Biomedical-Europe [mailto:Autism-Biomedical-Europe ] On Behalf Of MaddiganV@...Sent: 04 April 2012 16:28To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Subject: Re: Re: WORSE THAN 1 IN 88 Trouble is autism has become a catch all diagnosis and those at the very bottom are generally not considered wasting much time, money or effort on.Now that Iv'e said that don't let anyone convince you it's because all the money has gone to the HFA's coz here's the thing, Severe= Funds spent on those who will most benefit [so, stuff all for you lot] HFA= Funds spent on those whose need is greatest [so stuff all for you lot]Best spend the money on that really deserving goup of leeches, those hanging off the backs of our kids just so they can think up ever more artful ways of avoiding the job they are very well paid for.Imagine how much money could be available if those who made no difference to our kids life were asked to leave the party!Vicky Re: WORSE THAN 1 IN 88 Yes - Rita Jordan referred to this in her book " Autism with Severe Learning Difficulties " published in 2001. The blurb on the Amazon site says: " Yet the group whose needs are perhaps the greatest - those with the dual problems of autism and severe learning difficulties - have been rather neglected. " And they still are. We have to make sure they are not forgotten.Margaret> >> > > > > > > > > > Estimated rates of autism among U.S. children in 2012:7 year olds - 1 in> 486 year olds - 1 in 425 year olds - 1 in 374 year olds - 1 in 333 year olds> - 1 in 29http://vaxtruth.org/2012/04/when-1-in-88-is-really-1-in-29/> x> >>
