Guest guest
Charcoal was good plan, now lots of vitamin C Mx Hi all,It was an unexpected removal! I've had some pain and the dentist was shocked. She said she can't believe how worn they have become in the last 6 months :(I've been having a few personal problems (and toss in caring for 3 kids on my own, one with autism) and am aware I've been grinding. The lovely Persian/Canadian and now English dentist said I'd lose teeth in less than a year if we didn't do something urgently. She's given me 2 gum shields, one for day and one for night. She's going to perform a kind of 'icing' topping of composite on top of 7 teeth that are worn but I also needed a new filling right next to a really big amalgam. I said I didn't want more metals in my mouth and she said that she'd have to remove the old one anyway cos it was so close. So we decided to remove the old amalgam and put in new composite for the whole of this tooth. Which we did there and then. She didn't use a dam but we had water flowing/sucked out, windows open etc. I've just taken 6 charcoal. How often and how much should I take? Also was going to take vit c. Any other supps and for how long/dosage?Am determined to get back on track since I only recently realised that I was falling apart! This tooth business has brought it home to me!JaneP.S This lovely lady has restored my faith - she said she can understand why I grind my teeth and that they aren't going to charge me for any of these treatments
Guest guest
Wow, can’t believe you didn’t get charged !!! I had a number of amalgams removed about a year ago and it wasn’t a good experience. No side effects other than toothache resulting in several root canal treatments, a crown and a lot of pain!! I won’t have any more removed now because it was such an awful experience – also cost the earth.
