No one said that alternative treatments couldn't be discussed or that we don't believe in miracles but if that's the way you want to read it - go ahead. The problem with these unregulated treatments is that they are unregulated & untested. Some of them do more damage than good - most of them. . . the best that can be said is that some do no harm. My hep

doc had me stop taking a multi-vitamin and prescribed specifics including E,

B12 and folic acid. I also take C on the recommendation of an old family

doctor as I have a family history of osteoporosis. The doc ok’d the

use of Milk Thistle to improve liver function; this is pretty much the only

herb that there is some scientific evidence for efficacy, though there is also

controversy.

WeWe

all know alternative medacine doesn't work. You can take vitamins that will help

with the fatigue or your immune system but other then that you don't know what

can happen. Even with vitamins I ask the pharmacist if it is safe for the

liver.

There are some things that we have to take to impove the quality of our lives. I take B12 to help with the fatigue and D for ostio. The doctor had me on 50,000 units for three yrs through prescription and now I just take 600 units.Having hep and treatment increases our chances of ostio and needed to treat it before it got too bad.
