Guest guest
Hi a...my doctors conferred and I am now back on Humira and Mtx. As long as no infection seems to start while they are aspirating, things will probably be ok. If they have to put in a drain or do a sclerosing procedure, they would put me on antibiotics prophylacticly (sp?), and I would be watched carefully. If any hint of an infection pops up, I will be off the RA meds again. My rheumy was quite disturbed that the RA had come back to a severe degree in a relatively short time, so he and the surgeon put their heads together. I do trust them both...this makes me a bit nervous, but I am doing everything they suggest, and they are readily available to me, for which I feel blessed and grateful. On the plus (though surely not as important) side, the incision looks very nice, and I have quite a nice silhouette! : ) It has been a looooooooong time since I could say that. In addition, there is no longer the painful strain on my lower back from the extra skin hanging down and straining it from the stomach. I am asking my daughter, Genevieve, to take some pictures this Spring, and will post them when I can. Thank you, dear a, for your ever-present support and encouragement. Much love...
