Guest guest
Good day to all! I don't post here too often but I do read all the emails. I have RA and am on Enbrel for about a year now. I understand that we all get frustrated by meds that don't work, but then we are all different. To tell the truth, when I see people asking for horror stories related to Enbrel it really saddens me. This is a support group and we should be here for each other with happy thoughts not mostly the negative. I understand that Enbrel has some bad side effects and to tell you the truth I know what they are and don't really need to hear about them over and over. I am sure that if you read up on Asprin or blood pressure pills or Prednisone or any other drug then you would also see some bad side effects. All I can say is that without these meds we would die. I have gone through some pretty bad side effects with other drugs but didn't bother posting and telling here because some people had great results and that is what it is all about. I hope that we can be here for each other with more positibe thoughts....Besides, most of us are in pain 24/7 and don't really need to be depressed every time we read on here. I love to hear happy times....I know that there are going to be some downers but come on guys not all the time.... gentle hugs, Corinne aclavern33@... wrote: > > I used the Enbrel that you mix. Guest guest
Thank you very much Corinne!!! These subject lines saddens me to. I'd much rather hear about the stories of people that got out of wheelchairs because of these medications. I think about the members that are considering taking it and think about how much scarier it makes it to read subject lines like this. I know when I started taking Enbrel, I was scared to death. It had just been approved and was the first of it's kind in the Biological family. Members in the support group encouraged me to try it and I'm so thankful that I did since I've benefitted so much from it. There will always be horror stories about every medication on the market be it prescription or over the counter. a On May 31, 2006, at 2:34 PM, Corinne Drover wrote: > > Good day to all! > I don't post here too often but I do read all the emails. Guest guest
Hi a, I agree, hearing the positive stories are great. You are also right about those people who are about to try it. If I would of looked on here first, I don't know if I would be on anything. This is a great group, but sometimes less is better. Corinne a Papola wrote: > Thank you very much Corinne!!! Guest guest
I had a REAL horror story about Enbrel. I saw the full price and my co-pay! That was frightening. As for real " horror stories " , you can find them from aspirin or sugar cubes. I suggest looking for another type of information, one that really means something. Guest guest
LOL! Now that is a real horror story for sure!!! I had hoped by now, the price would come down. Yeah right. a On Jun 1, 2006, at 2:08 PM, betnden@... wrote: > I had a REAL horror story about Enbrel. Guest guest
I so much agree with Corinne. It is so nice to have a place to go to ask questions about our symptoms and the drugs we take. It does help and comfort to hear of others experiences. We all have different reactions to different drugs. Myself I do fine on Humeri, but had kidney failure form drugs like Vioxx, Mobic, Celibrex which are thought to be more common,go figure. in WI a Papola <a54@...> wrote: Thank you very much Corinne!!!
