Guest guest
I'm new to this group. I haven't been official dx with Fibro, but I have pretty much all the symptoms. I was dx w/lupus 3 yrs ago and from there i feel that I've been falling apart. I can't explain it. There's pain and depression, I've been rx cymbalta, it helps some, but my mood is pretty much the same. I'm not as tired as before, but i still get in a mood sometimes i can't pull myself out of. any suggestions
Guest guest
Hi : Welcome to the group - the people here are friendly and supportive, and their stories are filled with great information. I have been a member for about 4 years now and simply love the support you get here from people who truly understand what you are going through. I have RA, Fibromyalgia, OA, and Raynauds, with the RA being my first dx 7 years ago. Are you on any meds for your Lupus/SLE? Or another other than Cymbalta for your fibromyalgia? I take Enbrel and Methotrexate for my RA. I take Cymbalta, Skelaxin, Zanaflex, Ambien CR, and Lyrica for my Fibro. I take Ultram ER 300 for pain from both. I also have meds for asthma and high blood pressure. Quite the pharmacy here, but they keep me going and give me the quality of life I need to continue doing most of the things I enjoyed previously. You might need to speak with your doctor about a change in anti-depressants. How long have you been on Cymbalta? Perhaps it is loosing it's effectiveness, or you need to address some other issues causing your depression. I take the Cymbalta for depression, but maily it is used in my for my nerve pain in my legs from my fibromyalgia. Previously, I was on Effexor XR for four years with good result, but I switched to get the nerve pain relief too. It has helped. So, I would let your physician know how you are feeling and see if there is something he can do for you. Don't mess with depression, it is a very real disease. Do you also have difficulty sleeping? Addressing those symptoms and problems could also affect your mood and your depression. If you are not getting restorative sleep, you cannot get in control of the pain or the mood issues. Perhaps a sleep study would help. I had one, found obstructive sleep apnea, and am now helped by a CPAP machine for better restorative sleep. Just some ideas for you to consider. We are glad that you are here with us, but sorry for the reasons you have come. Hang in there, take care, and write us back - Kathe in CA --- njones46229 <njones46229@...> wrote: > I'm new to this group.
