Guest guest
Hi, Just got my son's hair test results and feeling a bit confused (already started ALA, 4 rounds). Referring to counting rules, as summarised in Fight Autism and Win, we tick one rule (rule 2) (5 below 50%, 3 in 'green' zone). For Toxic metals, we have several amber/red results some of which match recent toxic elements blood, including aluminium, antimony (95th), arsenic, lead, mercury. (Also high Nickel, Silver (95th), Tin). Should we also be doing dmsa? Also, on Essential elements, several differences between hair and blood results. In particular, Copper is close to 50th %ile in hair, but in bloods, it is above 95% reference range - Does this mean that it's high in blood but he's not excreting it via hair? Also, doesn't ALA risk increasing Cu? (Zn v. low in hair and blood). I currently supplement 30mg of Zn per day (he's around 18kg/40lb), but should I be doubling this, esp with ALA? Any thoughts would be most welcome. Thanks, nah
