Guest guest
Not heard of it before but VSL3 is available on NHS if you can get a doc to Rx it Mx Hi,Has anyone any experience of using this please? It is expensive, but I'm trying to get round reluctance/refusal by residential Home to give any capsules or tablets not available on the NHS - and I can argue this is a food, similar to those like Yakult they might buy off the supermarket shelf. But it's only worth the argument if the stuff is any good! It has been used in a trial at King's College, London, but I'd welcome any practical experience.http://www.symprove.com/ThanksPatience
Guest guest
We've tried VSL3 sachets on NHS - not good, maybe because not gf/cf, maybe because strep in or perhaps some other reason altogether?! NHS don't do the capsules:( Patience > > Not heard of it before but VSL3 is available on NHS if you can get a doc to > Rx it > > Mx > > > In a message dated 18/04/2012 11:05:12 GMT Daylight Time, > onthesosh@... writes: > > > > > Hi, > > Has anyone any experience of using this please? Guest guest
You can get vsl3 capsules on NHS (we do), if you have a sympathetic GP. As only the sachets are in their book, the GP can't do a computer printout, so you have to ask him/her to HAND WRITE the script. I take the script to local Boots with a very helpful pharmacist who orders it in from Dennis the Chemist, so I don't have to pay the postage.Like the sachets, the capsules do contain strep strain though.Joanne> >> > Not heard of it before but VSL3 is available on NHS if you can get a doc to > > Rx it> > > > Mx> > > > > > In a message dated 18/04/2012 11:05:12 GMT Daylight Time, > > onthesosh@ writes:> > > > > > > > > > Hi,> > > > Has anyone any experience of using this please? Guest guest
I use Symprove the flavoured mango and pineapple, for my 8 year old son. I really like it. Its been the easiest way to get probiotics into him. He drinks it on first waking and its comforting to know its easily digested. It tastes nice too, but does have sucrolose in it, I don't think the unflavoured one does ? I get it from the Natural Dispensary. I haven't done a stool test in ages so not sure how his beneficial bacteria levels are doing but from a recent bioressonance test our Natropath said they were establishing !!
