Abbie,

Armour was 'reformulated' in 2006. Whatever they did caused two here to fail on

it - one had used it 25+y and another 5+y. After trying the ctomel and synthroid

route, one is on Nature-throid and doing well. http://www.nature-throid.com/

Site seems to say it ships world wide

http://www.nature-throid.com/mail_order_pharmacies.php Currently, The

Nature-Throid cost ~$18.00 for 60 of the 65mg tablets.

It has a milk component, so the other has stabilized on a product called NP

thyroid by Acella. The NP is supposedly the same as Armour but most on the

thyroid group say no. The

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormones/ is helpful. We are

having trouble getting the NP Thyroid ? is it being phased out.

Someone suggested

" Have you looked into thyroid or Thyroid-S? They are both out of Thailand and

supposed to be similar to early formulations of Armour. " when I asked in April

about how to get a similar formula. Sorry, I don't have any pricing info on

Armour. NPispaid by insurer so I don't have any pricing info on that either.

request, but he doesn't know who stocks it here in the London area. Can any of

you help? I've called around and googled, but, barring the International

Pharmacy at ridiculous cost, haven't had any luck. Or an equally good

substitute? Many thanks.

Have you tried asking on the Thyroid Patient Advocacy Group, lots of people on

there are getting Armour or Erfa or Naturethroid from pharmacies in the UK with

prescriptions.

We use Thyroid-S for Thailand, but, I have to buy it. We used to use

NatureThroid - it is very good, but, much more expensive.
