Hi my son is due to be re tested and has come off his supplements, he is having

the optimum nutrition done also. In the leaflet it says to wait 14 days after

stopping probiotics before taking the stool sample but we were told to take the

sample after a week. What would you suggest? He has also been drinking water

kefir which Genova diagnostics have said to stop but that now puts us back

another week. This means he'll go 3 weeks without any supplements. In the

short term he seems happy enough without his supplements but we've been doing

them for 8 months now and I don't want him to lose any utritional gains etc. Any

advice would be great.

I think stopping supplements is a daft idea, you need a picture of whats going on WITH the supps he takes, JMHO

We always did testing without making any changes (we always found this useful

and later when we did Yasko this was the way that was recommended). Best

wishes, Sandy

To be honest that's what I would have thought. He's been on alot of supplements

and thought that was the point to see where he is with the supplements but they

say it can give a false reading. we're doing the urine test tonight for the

nutritional evaluation and then at least it's only been less than a week and

then we can start again with the vits and minerals etc until we get the results.

I view water kefir as diet, stopping that is like saying give him a rubbish diet

till the tests are done. i said to my partner if he was eating sauerkraut we

wouldn't take it away. Thanks for your replies.
