Guest guest
this is very interesting – we always talk about cytokines (inflammatory molecules) that influence behaviour, and how those are raised in autism, but it seems it is also prostaglandins that play a big role! There was one study where they exposed mice to bacterial toxins and saw big changes in their behaviour and how they interacted with each other. When they blocked cytokines (which were raised after bacterial exposure) nothing much happened, BUT when they blocked prostaglandins the behaviour of affected mice reverted back to normal!! This is new and shows how prostaglandin E2 influences brain development and behaviours in early infancy! Btw it is inhibited by cox-2 inhibitors – more reasons to consider SCIA protocol - ibuprofen or similar …?Prostaglandin E2 is an endogenous modulator of cerebellar development and complex behavior during a sensitive postnatal period.http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1460-9568.2012.08032.x/abstractNatasa
