Guest guest
Hi Darla, I know that low stomach acid can make kids susceptible to pinworms. Does have signs of low stomach acid? If so, that might be an area to work on while you're killing the worms to lessen chances of re-infections. Anita > > just keeps getting threadworms. Guest guest
Dear Darla, Hope things improve. Not sure I have any answers but I've been thinking about parasites for a while now. Have you treated the family? You could be passing between yourselves. Do you have pets - have you treated them? (so many of us seem to have pets with " character " or behaviours). Have you tested for parasites generally (are there other worms/parasites) - I have been reading that there can be several types and (if I understand correctly) this can make treatment harder. This is something I am wondering about myself. Best wishes, Sandy > > > > just keeps getting threadworms. Guest guest
Dear Darla, Forgot to mention natural anti-parasitics (there are quite a lot to choose from). We've chosen to use them in our food. E.g. we use ground cloves in our " cake " and also in things like baked apples (nice with cinnamon. There's also a Pumpkin seed butter by Meridian (maybe it's a bit grown up tastewise - also a bit gritty and green). Best wishes, Sandy
Guest guest
Yes, Darla, Ovex is only for worms - it's not marketed as a treatment for protozoan parasites such as Giardia and Dientomoeba. Guest guest
Would apolactoferrin help with anaemia, without encouraging the parasites? Guest guest
This is an interesting clip re gut bugs and MMS. is presenting at Autism One. We've been trialing DE - things seem to be appearing in cycles in the waste. > > > > > > > > > > > > just keeps getting threadworms. Guest guest
hope you get some solutions here soon, in the meantime, when ours have been out of control, i put garlic cloves up the bum before bed (you need KY jelly or similar) to relieve night time itching, it blasts them straight away. that will take care of buggers in lower tract. karenza > > > > > > > > just keeps getting threadworms. Guest guest
Dear Darla, This is probably irrelevant but I remembered you mentioned anemia. I was reading that hookworm is strongly linked with anemia. As you know, polyps do the same but I wondered if it would be worth checking about hookworms? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hookworm (it mentions Mebendazole is 15% effective for hookworm) Best wishes, Sandy
