Hi,

My son's official diagnosis is 'acquired autism.' Everything was fine until he

was ill at 3 1/2 and rapidly slipped into 'autism', possibly helped by

antibiotics.

Maybe your doc thinks your son also acquired his autism rather more than being

born with it. Perhaps you could ask him (or her) what might have been the

trigger(s)?

That the cause was environmental, it happened to him, he wasn't born with it
