Guest guest
Hi Vesna, Sorry to hear what is happening now. Please see this link : http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/17/health/research/popular-antibiotic-may-raise-r\ isk-of-sudden-death.html?smid=fb-share Please ask DrG about the use of this antibioitcs Azythromycin urgently..The resEarch says it causes sudden death. I think antiviral therapy is quite risky, DRG is recommending it to me even nothing shows on the test results but I don't think I will take this risk.Perhaps you can stop slowly all of these and see what happens (ofcourse you need to discuss this with DrG, but it is your decision)You are not sure whether the treatment is helpful or not,you have more worries now, I feel. But please give a big concern for this antibiotics.. Warmly nevin > > Dear all, > My son is 11 and he has good language and relatively good skills level, but ongoing issues with controlling language, anxiety, obsessiveness and ocd traits, all fluctuating in intensity depending on something i could not put my finger on - something I was hoping bio medical approach could help. > > We did 4 months of antivirals (both Valtrex and Aciclovir) at the beginning of the year and now for almost a month going through the antibiotic treatment under dr G. > With antivirals I could not see any clear improvements, but it was clear that my son's ocd and repetitive behaviours somewhat increased. > Dr G answer to that was to start antibiotics treatment with 1X500 mg(my son's first ever exposure to antibiotics), every day for the first 2 weeks and then for a month 5 days on, 2 days off. Guest guest
Nevin the azithromycin isn't anti viral surely. It's anti bacterial? Azithromycin is very routinely prescribed in the UK - just not for autism! It's prescribed as an anti biotic and also as an anti inflammatory (or rather as an anti biotic with anti inflammatory action). I would be able to get it prescribed for my sarcoid, for example, and for strep but only one week at a time. I'm not saying it's safe or unsafe but I don't think it's an anti viral. > > > > Dear all, > > My son is 11 and he has good language and relatively good skills level, but ongoing issues with controlling language, anxiety, obsessiveness and ocd traits, all fluctuating in intensity depending on something i could not put my finger on - something I was hoping bio medical approach could help.
