Guest guest
What a coincedent, Jane. I have family living in Marshall. I hope to go to Marshall soon. I know it won't be within the next few days. They did a MRI yesterday and I could hardly get out of bed awhile ago. I'm going to have to see if I can stretch some of the kinks out so I can start moving. That was the longest 45 min laying in that little tube and you had to be very still. I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow for a bone density test. Joyce from Texas [ ] Re: older music Dennis, this is cool! My # 3 daughter is at college in Marshall TX. We love East Texas, such a beautiful part of the state. Jane > > I think most of us will remember these songs. Guest guest
I live 50 miles west of Marshall. I don't get there very often, it's either to hit the Honda store or see the lights at Christmas time. Dennis in Eastexas " It's not Rocket Surgery " [ ] Re: older music > > > Dennis, this is cool! Guest guest
Yes, they were really something when I last went. I haven't been there in a long time, and have heard that they were going to have to scale back since the local economy isn't great and utility prices are high. That's what I heard. Guest guest
I'm really sorry to hear that. Nobody should have to bury their son or daughter anyhow. Guest guest
Now someone needs to find a treasure chest of bluegrass. I love that sound myself. Guest guest
Hello Jane, I just got back from the hospital from having that bone density test. It wasn't bad at all. I did have a hard time trying to lay my left leg straight. I have either OA or RA in it, maybe both. No, I'm not from East Texas. I live 45 miles south of Dallas. I live in Ellis County and we have many country folk around here. One of my saddiest times was when the government forced us and many other people to sell our land so they could build that Pink Elephant Super Conducting Super Collider in which they started but never finished. It was to circle Waxahachie. It was the biggest waste of money and caused a lot of heartache. Some people had their land since 1870 and had to sell it. The land we lived on at the time is being sold for about twice the amount we were paid. There are a rich people living out there now and they have big beautiful homes. Joyce from Texas [ ] Re: older music Joyce, I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough time. I hope to get down there for the lights this year. I'll be going down for homecoming, the daughter is singing for an alumni function. The last time they put me in one of those little tubes...MRI...about halfway through it, the young man running the machine said, " Oh, by the way, if your neck starts feeling hot on the inside, tell me and we'll have to stop it. I just noticed you have all that metal in your neck! " YIKES!! Are you an East Texas girl too? I grew up in Dallas but the kids and I moved to Kaufman county 20 years ago. Never regretted it for a minute. Homecoming parades, people still riding around on tractors, no red lights...even though we are getting " gentrified. " They put in a bunch of quarter-million dollar houses where several warrens of rabbit had lived for years out in the country. That made me so sad. Even though we had a few of them for supper in our leaner days.... --- In , " J. L. McCrary " <j.mccrary@...> wrote: > > Those are beautiful Christmas lights aren't they Dennis?
