Guest guest
my dad had fibrosis-it is progressive but it sounds like you are doing well..yes he was on oxygen for 2 years in the end-updrafts-inhalers-prednisone---but he never took his meds as ordered which made it worse for him-and the anxiety from not being able to breathe was overwhelming--they gave him medicine for it but he never took it-so he was always more short of breath from his nervousness...once in a while i would slip him one when i was over and he would calm right down.... by the way they found out he had it when he went in for heart by-pass surgery which made it all the worse... i always feel that when you have any respiratory problems you have to be very in tune with being out in public alot-washing your hands constantly--following a good diet-low in saltand 6 small meals instead of 3 a day--cause by now you must have noticed how much your breathing become harder at meal time--you have to do all those inhalers--plus meditation and breathing exercises help.stay calm and take good care of yourself and hopefully it will be a long long time until you get to the oxygen point......lynn
