Guest guest
If the hair test meets the counting rules you cannot be sure the copper is actually low, Hg causes disordered mineral transport. I know a few folks who have supped a bit and they said Kirkman Copper sebacate (?sp) was best (one was adult aspie who could explain howi t made him feel better) Mx Hi,So we have just received the results of hair test from doctor’s data and DS (4year old) hair shows that he has low copper. Please have you ever supplemented copper? If you have supplemented copper, please what was your experience and did you see any benefits and for how long did you supplement? Also, please has anyone used the supplement flavorosan to supplement copper and what was your experience? Thanks in advance for any comments. Guest guest
It's quite difficult interpreting a hair test laid out like this. The Zinc/copper ratio is actually in range but the thyroid looks suspect, if you are to have a blood test it would be worth IMO getting a thyroid panel including FreeT3 and FreeT4 using an age appropriate ref.range. As Mandi has said if a counting rule is met then the copper value may not be reliable.
