Guest guest
Hi Tracie: Be really careful about taking any of the DMARDs like Humira and Mtx when you are ill, even with a cold, as they suppress your immune system such that even a cold can turn into something worse because of their effect. When I have a cold, I don't take my Enbrel or my Mtx, until the cold symptoms go away, or if I am on any antibiotics, I don't take those drugs either. As for the pneumovax, I had the shot when I was first dx with RA, because of my history of asthma and bronchitis. Call your doctor before you use your Humira, okay?
