Guest guest
I agree in many ways. It is in the best interest of people who may be culpable to simplify these complex issues in a way that makes the theories seem ridiculous. Plus, the whole autism movement has shot itself in the foot in many ways by doing the same thing. Quite honestly, even when I think about it myself it seems so ridiculous, for example, that we shoot mercury into kids, I can hardly believe it myself. For kids like mine, yes there is some fragility involved, but where did that come from? Is that actually epigenetic? And if it is, then how do we address that? I am stunned though that your neighbours, etc, don't have damaged kids. The number of allergic, asthmatic, ADHD, eczemic, constipated, cavity-riddled, etc kids I know is incredible. Just this last two weeks I have been told by my former foster child that her two children have autism and by a family friend that their daughter was diagnosed aspergers. I agree completely with you that in talking to people we need to come up with ways of stating things that makes them stop talking and at least listen for a bit.
