Guest guest
My son has been very aggressive lately, raging and hitting siblings violently. Remembering that he didn’t tolerate bananas well when he was little, and seeing that he had at least one daily recently, I stopped him having any more. He was back to himself after a few hours. Does this make sense? What could be in bananas?

Guest guest
He could have an allergy to bananas (my daughter has it) and this is how his body could react.Helen To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Sent: Sunday, 15 April 2012, 13:20 Subject: FW: Re: bananas causing aggression My son has been very aggressive lately, raging and hitting siblings violently. Guest guest
, Having recently spent 2 days out of commission with a migraine triggered by eating a few sprigs of coriander (aka cilantro) which I used to eat with impunity and in high quantities (I grew up in Texas eating pico de gallo from a young age which is mostly coriander) but now triggers fiere migraines - and there is absolutely no other foods that trigger migraines for me - I think that it is important to remember that for whatever reason that may remain forever a mystery sometimes we can wax and wane in our tolerance of foods and sometimes for whatever reason those reactions can be quite significant. This migraine was a big reminder to me to track behaviours and diet in my son. When I had the migraine believe me, if I was a kid, it would have sent me into an aggressive stabby angry mood but thankfully since I'm an adult I could moderate my behaviour, er mostly, cough cough... Best wishes, Darla > > > > My son has been very aggressive lately, raging and hitting siblings > violently. Guest guest
If you have an allergy to banana, you usually have trouble with kiwi and avocado too. Amines in bananas (the riper the banana the more amines) can be a problem for people too. Anita > > > > > > > > My son has been very aggressive lately, raging and hitting siblings > > violently. Guest guest
Your son could have a food sensitivity to bananas and simply not tolerate them. Also, if bananas are not ripe enough they contain carbohydrates that are hard to digest for some. Also, my son's yeast issues flared up with eating bananas which caused behavioral issues. I ended up removing them from his diet. Jetta ASD Mom > > > > > > _____ > > My son has been very aggressive lately, raging and hitting siblings > violently.
