Guest guest
>>>>>his sucks. The only reason I can think of for doing is it that you are becoming dependent on Lortab (in his eyes). Did you ask for more? Always hoard pain medications....and never ask for them, if you can help it. I get nervous about asking for them but I do, especially since my rh seems okay with it. But I'm scared he'll think I'm a drug seeker. I do have to ask for more this time cuz I went thru a four month supply in two months cuz of my ulcer. I mentioned it to the nurse and the rh and they didn't seem too concerned although I think he wants me on a lower dose (I'm take two 20 mgs twice a day.) I just try to be matter of fact when I talk about it and not meek, but it's hard Personally don't care if I'm addicted, after all I have constant pain. I never did understand why it's so bad to be addicted.

I dislike doctors who will deny that you have pain. One prescribed Motrin for neck arthritis for me (back when it was only RX) and told me it was a strong pain reliever! I could not sleep, drive a car, and was in agony! Generally, we have foiund young doctors do not prescribe pain killers, to speak of. Very old doctors don't care about losing their license, they care about YOU. And they are willing to stand up for themselves. My doctor asks me if I need pain killers, I often turn them down. I figure it's good to make sure they know I only take them when I have to...... Pris's dime
Guest guest
When my Rheumy gave the script for Morphine, it was for 30 mg twice a day for 30 days. They wanted me to drive 50 miles one way to pick up the script, then hand carry it to the pharmacy to fill. There were no refills and I had to do it every 30 days. I finally got fed up with the high gas prices and long distance, so I had them mail the script to the pharmacy each month and I'd pick it up when I was able. They keep a close eye on my consumption so there's no chance of hoarding. I try to supplement with Tylenol Arthritis Formula but I usually can't tell the difference. That's where the Soma, Xanax, Amitryptline, and extra Prednisone catch some of the slack. I don't abuse any of them, I'm very careful what I take and how much. I even stop them once in a while to see the job each is doing. The only ones I can't do that with are the Morphine and Prednisone. Don't forget the Morphine! Guest guest
I changed from CVS to Walgreen's because the pharmacist at CVS treated me like a junkie when I filled my pain medication prescriptions there.

Guest guest
Alot of the paper signing and so on with pain meds is due to insurance compaines as well, my doctors have never had a problem giving me a prescription but the insurance company would only cover a certain amoun t of pills within a certain amount of days. I found this also when I was taking ambien. The doc would give me a 3 mkonth prescription but the insurance would only pay for 14 pills a month since that is the recommended dosage... Guest guest
The pharmacist always busted my chops when I would go to renew a prescription. Even though the prescription was written for a max of 6 per day, the pharmacist told me that the PDR recommended only up to 5 per day and he wrote it on the prescription. When the doctor changed the dosage, the pharmacist questioned me about how many I had taken of the previous prescription and why didn't I have some of those left. So after a couple of these episodes, I took my business to Walgreen's and haven't had a problem yet. -----Original Message----- From: [mailto: ]On Behalf Of NELLIESTAR@... > the pharmacist at CVS treated me > like a junkie when I filled my pain medication prescriptions there. > Like how?
