Can't get enough blood for Vit D test?

The 4 drops I got - after a lot of tries - are all smaller than the recommended

size. Does this matter as long as they are not tiny? I ended up using a lance

from the box I have prescrived to test my blood sugar levels, as the ones they

sent in the kit seemed to be useless. Henry eventually woke up and I had to give

up.

Thanks,

Margaret

Lancets for blood tests are different to the one to test for blood sugar - the blood test one will do a deeper cut rather than a prick as they need to get the red blood cells out whole. You need to press on quite firmly with the lancets and by doing so it actually hurts less - I'm assuming the ones sent had retractable blades where you just press once and the blade quickly goes in and back out by itself?

Margaret, I just sent 's vit D test off with 3 teeny blood drops and one bigger but still not the right size.  I am waiting to hear back from them - I posted it on Tuesday.  Will let you know as I should hear from them soon.  I hope they will give me another one at no charge if this one fails.  We did it when was awake and he complied but still couldn't get enough blood.
