Guest guest
this is supported for aiding the replacement of glucothanine sp? i think low plasma cysteine patients in particular find them beneficial. might be less toxic for kids than milk thistle. Guest guest
Regular NAC is widely available although the article says you need RX grade which they would seeing as they are trying to patent it, what a riduculous idea! I think used to use the BioCare brand for her people. Low Sulphur folks do well on it, high sulphur folks generally don't. I never tried it on Sam because he needs low sulphur. Somewhere at back of brain Is a thought that it may be sourced from shellfish so allergy to those would preclude use unless brain has really melted and I making it up lol Mandi x http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/05/120529182719.htm I would be interested in any commentary anyone has on this article. Just looked it up in Jepson's book and CSB. Is this something people try; is it available?Lee

Guest guest
We used Metabolics NAC. http://www.metabolics.com/Amino-Acids/N-Acetyl-Cysteine-30-Capsules.html They also do pots of 90 caps - sorry can't see how many mg per capsule. I can't see it listed on the Nutricentre website but we used to buy it through them (not all the products they sell are listed on their website - we used to make orders on the phone) I never really understood why NAC worked well for us (when we had sulphur issues) - but we tried it early on and it had a very positive effect (seemed to reduce anxiety) - we were using a fraction of one capsule per day. Best wishes, Sandy
