Guest guest
Hi ; One year and a 1/2 ago I had knee surgery. It wasn't that bad. The first 2 days I felt like a horse kicked me in the knee but the 3rd day I was up and around and few days later I could even do steps. By the 6th day, I drove back home [Louisville, KY to Chicago, Ill] I was a little stiff but it was OK. Good luck. And, all these years what I thought was lactose intolerance I find was my gallbladder... did the Ben and Jerry's test last week Now, this Wed, the 15th. I will be having arthroscopic knee surgery. Saw the surgeon a week ago, and this should buy me about 5 years before I have to have the total replacement. I had my preop appt. on Friday and got my walker...can't use crutches b/c of the hand and shoulder involvement of the RA. Met with my rheumy last week and once I start healing from the surgery, he is starting me on Remicade. Did the TB test and his office is getting the preauthorization for it so its ready when I am. I'm not worried about the knee surgery itself, but am worried about the recovery time. Before my spine surgery, I was in a wheelchair for almost 6 months, and my biggest fear is falling (I am NOT a little person!) Anyway, hope everyone is having a relatively good day T --------------------------------- Autos. Looking for a sweet ride? Get pricing, reviews, & more on new and used cars. Guest guest
I'm glad that you are feeling a bit better and can pass the crucial Ben and Jerry test!!!!!!! Awesome! I wish you well on your knee surgery. After mine, it was as if I got a brand new leg for a good while anyhow. My x had total knee replacement and is doing great and had little or no trouble with a quick recovery time! I will keep you in my prayers!!! I certainly understand about the crutches ordeal; I can't even work em on a good day. I always..always fall forward or backward. I don't know how to work 'em! I'm hoping to get a hopped up scooter someday!!! Maybe I should just invest in a wagon and find a motor! LOL Good luck and take care.
