i really like your BL workout, !  You worked around your injury quite nicely and I bet you'll feel the abdominal work!I'm so sorry to hear about the financial strains though HUGS HUGS HUGS I know that that can be really stressful :/  when it rains it pours sometimes.  Exercise is a great stress reliever though :)

I couldn't do a regular workout this morning, my foot hurt too much, but I didn't want to see a zero on my brand new 2012 workout log so... I'm watching Biggest Loser and just did 15 minutes of exercise that did not hurt or seem likely to hurt. I grabbed a timer and did:

 

1 minute plank (arms extended, on toes)

1 minute crunches

1 minute side plank - right (everything in the air, balancing on side of 1 foot)

1 minute oblique crunches

1 minute side plank - left (everything in the air, balancing on side of 1 foot)

 

2 1/2 minutes lower body stretches on floor

2 1/2 minutes upper body stretches standing (but could have done them seated)

 

1 minute very gentle walking in place

1 minute very gentle kicks in place

1 minute very gentle side steps

1 minute very gentle knee lifts

1 minute very gentle walking in place

 

Yea me! :-) I didn't burn off the 2 Christmas cookies I ate but that's okay!

 

Bad news too... I backed into my garage door (forgot to put it up as I went to leave for my last WW class this evening) and smashed it good. DH is working from home tomorrow to wait for someone to come out and at least take it off and order us a new one. I finally saved up a little bit of money... it figures. I felt so horrible earlier. I had to leave and go into WW leader mode right after (switching to DH's car and he got a flat tire on the way home and had a temporary spare on his car, probably needs a new tire too). I told my group though and they were so wonderful. Got home and just cried in DH's arms and he too was wonderful. Even my 13 year old man child came up to me and said, " You need a hug " and hugged me. I feel awful about it though. Hopefully it won't cost toooooo much. Maybe I should do more exercise, I'm starting to feel stress again! Speaking of that too, a wonderful person I've traded with on VF in the past sent me a surprise in the mail today! I somehow got rid of 's wonderful " Walk Away Your Stress " DVD and had it on the wish part of my trade list and she sent it to me as a gift!! If I weren't watching BL I would have put it on and done one of the three 10 minute workouts on it!! I also got a VHS tape of Cathe's Kick, Punch & Crunch from the Share the Wealth thread today. It has actually been a really good day, this " incident " was just a crummy blip that will pass... ugh.

Thanks, Judy!! The car, thankfully, was fine. We called a garage door company and are waiting for a call back... DH's tire fix was at least free (under warranty at Discount Tire).
