Guest guest
Jen, I'm praying for you and Gizmo both. It sounds like God might want his angel back. It's so, so, so hard to let go... HUGS. You have done more for Gizmo than most with all his special kidney issues and such. You are THE BEST CAT MOM EVER, don't ever forget that. You have done everything in your power. Much Kitty Love, My poor cat Gizmo has been going through hell for the last two weeks. He has had chronic kidney disease for the past 5 years and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last month. Because he hates taking pills the Vet switched him to a trans-dermal gel that I put in his ear twice a day. He had a BAD reaction to it! His personality totally changed. He was afraid of EVERYTHING, I even found him laying in his litter box trying to hide. I took him to the Vet last Wednesday (not his regular Vet) and she told me that his kidney's are failing and that he probably won't survive it. She recommended either hospitalization or IV fluids everyday (except last Saturday and Sunday,) so I agreed to that. Poor Gizmo has sores in his mouth from the kidney disease, they are like canker sores. Tomorrow I will take him back to the Vet for more fluids and blood work, I will get the results on Thursday. Please pray for Gizmo, he's like my child since I have no children of my own. Guest guest
Thanks , it is ALWAYS hard to let go but it's worse for me because Gizmo is the "baby." My other cat Mia (pronounced Maya) is 19 years old, she will be 20 this month. She is in better health than he is, despite being near blind and old. She is a tough girl BUT how long can she live??? She's all ready lived longer than any of my other cats did Jen My poor cat Gizmo has been going through hell for the last two weeks.
