Hello!

It is early to say but Dr Goyal drew an another road path for my son's

recovery. This has to be done years ago ...DrG want him to have a colonoscopy as

soon as possible, at present he has nothing to offer me like chelation,

antivirals etc..As you know I have been doing Yasko's protocol since

December. The first time I saw some improvement in regular bowel movements, my

son put on 2 kgs and he was seizure free for 6 weeks..These improvements were

significant and I totally linked with Yasko' stuff,in fact our neurologist

stated my son's improvement with homeopathic treatment which he was

receiving.Then he was ill,had a cold everything went down,lost 2 kgs.in a month

he had three seizures, lots of absent ones, stopped eating and constipation was

severe..Then I saw DrGoyal, he asked me to see Prof.DrAziz

(neuro-gastroentologist) at Royal Hospital. We went there,R.had an x-Ray for his

abdominal discomfort, totally was loaded..despite no sign of flat tummy , no pain

!He is on the movicol, lactulose at present.Prior the treatment he was constantly

in seizure conditions, things are improving..

So My feeling is...despite using regular Yasko's enzimes...sometimes Houstons

why this level of constipation occurred, digestion became so bad..despite the

restricted diets...he was having lots of nutritious food..I think meat is not

right for him .

I feel that seeing this Dr will be a good start which we had to do years

ago..However it gives me frustrations wondering in a circle....wasting precious

time and lots of money, useless supplements without finding the real

cause..Anyway, I have more optimism now,at least this dr may be the right one

for a start as the gut problems are always dominant.

Hi Nevin - Toms tummy was totally flat and he was completely loaded, it happens.

Easier to digest food helps and keep up plenty of water ( not necessarily with

food) and we also still use movicol and lactulose. You need to do a really big

clear out to start with - takes a couple of days or more. We have had to use up

to 8 sachets of movicol in the past. Toms bowels are much better than they were

- not fixed by any means but he's now only slightly short for a 13 yr old

whereas he was tiny. Enzymes will still help its just that one thing can't

necessarily solve the whole problem

I am sorry we ever used Movicol with Henry as attempting to do a clear out with

it produced massive, appalling bloating which must have been agony for him. I

was terrified his gut would burst and we took him to A & E. But your child may be

okay on it, of course.

Hi Margaret,

He is taking one sachet daily, perhaps they considered his seizure condition, so

far he is OK with the use of lactulose .It will take time..I can already seen

some improvements in seizure condtion also his thinking. I hope more questions

will be answered soon.

Thanks

Hi Nevin,

Glad to hear things are improving, especially the seizures!

It is really difficult to get the gut working and the bowels moving, my

ds also has huge problems with digesting proteins especially meat and

giving meat always results in increased seizures! Being anaemic, iron

supplements are a problem and giving meat is a problem. What are you

deciding to do, are you now going to decrease/avoid meat for your son?
