Guest guest
HI , Thanks for explaining that. Sounds to be very painful. I will email my friend later and get her to tell me again about hers. Doing ok for now except for shoulder and butt pain. Take care, Debbie L > > Hi Debbie, > > Thanks for the info. Guest guest
Hi , Here is some information my friend Glad gave me about her surgery. She had hers done around July 1. Min was done in front like yours. I got out of the hospital the next day although they did not want to let me out, now my husband no problem of letting him out then, had to do some talking or my husband did anyway. They were concern for me because of my paralyzed vocal cord and I could not tilt my chin at all to swallow or eat, but I told them I learn how to limit with my tonge what goes down. They sent another doctor to make sure and had me eat and drink. Then I just throw it back up shortly of course they were concerned with that also. My disks were replace with Donner bone and titanium plate with screws. Wore the hard collar for 6 weeks definitely, only aloud to take it off for a shower but no neck movement at all. A soft collar after that for driving and sleeping for me now my husband did not wear anything hard or soft collar all after 6 weeks. But remember he only had C-6, C-7 done. I had C-5, C-6, C-7 done. The doctor said he did not really have to but he recommend wearing a soft one while in a car. I wore a soft one in a car for 2 weeks, after the hard collar, I think and at night also because of me having dreams and moving around so much. actually at night I think it was longer. Her email address is gjs331@.... She is willing to answer and of your questions. Debbie L
