Guest guest
I did biceps first. My triceps were only mildly sore, which surprised me so I don't know what today's workout will bring. I liked triceps a little better than biceps, probably because I don't have a barbell (I do have the mini one and am thinking about asking DH to help me figure out how to clip on weights later) and she does curls with dumbbells and then the barbell so I basically did the same exercises for 6 sets instead of 3. I did challenge myself more the 2nd time through though and went up from 10s to 12s and it felt better so that was good. Shoulders were much harder, which they are for me anyway but I challenged myself a lot with weights I normally wouldn't choose. Wow, that was tough. By the end, I was definitely fatigued and felt my concentration slipping. I had to push myself through the last reps of the last few sets. I stretched after each exercise and did the stretch at the end but I still feel really tight (which is also not unusual, I carry my stress in my shoulders and jaw). I might try to do some yoga for shoulders after work (with shoes though, which bums me out). Easy work day today. Good. DH called the garage door company and they're coming out at 3. He'll be here to deal with them, which is even better. I do know a little bit about mechanical things from working on car repair manuals almost 20 years ago, but I still feel better when he's around for these things. Guest guest
That is a very different style, really works you hard. I liked it a lot because I really had to focus on what I was doing. Obviously, I should anytime (especially when one is swinging heavy weights around) but it made me really pay attention. I was thinking afterwards that so far, these and her Pyramid workouts are my favorites. I liked the music too and felt great, tired but great, when I finished.
