Guest guest
Wow, this sounds like an interesting workout if 2's are tough!! Good job on going up to 5's! Good morning! I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday and those that are going or are already out shopping today BE CAREFUL. Lots of idiots out right now. So this morning I decided to go with Sharon's Zero To Sixty. This was only the second time doing this one. From my experience last time, the 2 lb weights killed me so you can imagine how I felt when I picked up the 5's. I decided to wear my 2 lb weighted gloves for the whole workout. It worked well for me. When she picked up her 5's I felt like I could do a little more then what I had, but I was happy to stay with my gloves lol. I think someone else mentioned this already, but this workout is quite repetitive. She repeats the combos quite a bit, even with the warm up. I think that's one of the main things I don't care for with this one. I love Sharon and music rocks though. I burned 420, avg 136, max 165 and I got around 4,900 steps. My numbers were just a little bit higher last time when I used the 2's and 5's. That's ok, I didn't feel as tortured this time lol. Have a great weekend!~~

Guest guest
this is how I felt about the one older Firm I did - too much equipment switching, and being all over the place - like you said you thought she forgot to do the other side til very end. I do like the nostalgia aspects of these videos though Good morning! Today I did the third Firm classic workout. I did Vol 3 with Sandahl Bergman. This workout is all over the place. She goes from one thing to another. She does a seated one arm over head tricep press and doesn't do the other side until close to the end of the workout. I actually thought she forgot to do it. The floor work wasn't long enough to feel anything even with my ankle weights on. One thing that had me chuckle is that one minute she puts these red ankle weights on her feet and then the next minute while doing the same exercise they magically appear on her ankles lol. Same with the box. One minute its there and the next its not. I did like the how the moves goes with the music just like in vol 2. And I liked the cardio and a lot of the standing stuff. I just don't care for how she goes from one thing to another and again, clueless on what weight to use. I used 5, 8, 10, 15 and 20. This is another one that goes to the garage sale. There was a lot of it I liked, but its just too much all over the place and a lot of it she didn't do long enough to feel anything. I did manage to get a nice calorie burn. I burned 409 calories, avg 134 and max 171. Have a great weekend!~~
Guest guest
Happy Friday!!! This morning was another Firm. I did Vol. 6 (forever firm) with Jayne Poteet. I liked this one. I read a lot of reviews and people were saying that it is the easiest of the all the classics. I have to disagree. She uses a bar bell through a lot of it and the leg work was pretty tough. Yes, the cardio was WAY too easy so maybe that's why they say that. As I said, I liked it, but not well enough. It goes in the garage sale this spring. Oh and I have to comment on Jayne P. People were talking about her makeup in this workout. I think she looked beautiful and I didn't see anything wrong with her makeup at all. I burned 314 calories (fitbit said I burned 222) avg 126, max 161 and I got 1,550 steps. Oh and I used a 20 lb BB, 20 DB (chest work) 5's for the step ups 8's for the rear delt work and 10 for the triceps. I think that was all. Anyway, it was nice overall workout, but still not good enough to track a DVD down of it. Have a great weekend!!! ~~
Guest guest
But, it has to be a nice feeling to know you can get rid of something without looking back!Nice work !D  Happy Friday!!! ~~
Guest guest
((HUGS)) , when it rains, it pours sometimes doesn't it?Good for you for working out - it is a great stress reliever and opportunity to get out of your head for awhile. Donna Subject: Friday WorkoutTo: Cathe_Friedrich_Fans , exercisevideos , fitandthatsit Date: Friday, January 20, 2012, 10:01 AM Good morning! Since isn't going to school today and her MRI isn't until 12:30 I knew I didn't have to get up super early. I still got up fairly early though. I guess my nerves are getting the best of me. Sleep is a foreign language to me these days. I knew a workout would help my nerves even if it was just a little bit. Added bad news to all of this is that we have 3-5 inches of snow( we already have a couple inches on the ground from yesterday) coming along with ice. This will start around the time we will be about finished at the hospital. It's an 1 1/2 hours away and the snow band is from there all the way close to home. That sure doesn't help my nerves. I went with KCM Your Best Body #2. V-row 10 (these were too heavy, geesh) High pull 10 ( too heavy) Lunge 12 Bobbing squats- no weight Cheer press I started with 8, dropped to 7's and I was still frying Lateral raise 7 Single leg dead lift- ( I did calve raises) Lunge twist- no weight Alt. long curls 10 Side bicep curls 10 Squats 12 Planks Overhead tricep ext. 8 Alt. Kick backs 8 Curtsy into rev. lunge 10 Twist flys - no weight Floor exercises: Chest flys (singles) 15 Bench press 15 Bridge (single leg) Superman After that, I did the yoga stretch and then went back and did the stretch from workout#2. I think the yoga does is better then Cathe's even though its shorter. Anyway, had a nice 45 minute workout. Didn't wear my HRM today. Thanks for keeping us your prayers today. Have a great weekend!!~~
