Ghee- does it contain lactose/casein?

Dear membersI have been researching about ghee and have seen that it goes through a process where lactose/casein is removed. I've bought the East end Brand from Waitrose to test in some recipes but it doesn't contain an ingredients list. The one sold by Sainsbury's says it contains milk. My son is on a GFCF diet and I'm introducing elements of the GAPS diet slowly. Do you think it's safe in his case?Thanks

Yes. Properly made ghee is lactose and casein free (sometimes people make

clarified butter and call it ghee but if you're buying from a store then it's

presumably real ghee). I make my own, it's very easy. here are the best
